Achieving Medication Adherence: Looking in all the Wrong Places
Thursday, November 21, 2013, Noon-1:00 pm Harris Hydraulics Building, Large Conference Room
For 40+ years, researchers have been exploring non-compliance with medication taking by looking at hundreds of patient variables and combinations of patient attitudes, levels of education and beliefs. To date, none of these has succeeded in predicting compliance. The presentation will suggest that we have been looking in all the wrong places. Dr. Wertheimer has a distinguished career in global pharmaceutical health services research, having authored over 400 journal articles, 29 books, and supervised 70 PhD students.
