Global Medicines Program Partnering with VillageReach and the Barr Foundation to Improve the Supply Chain for Medicines in Malawi
The Global Medicines Program is teaming with VillageReach and the Barr Foundation to improve supply chain performance and medicines management in rural Malawi. In collaboration with the Malawi Ministry of Health and the Malawi College of Health Sciences, this three-year program will train 150 pharmacy assistants; increase supply chain capacity; and improve data management. The UW team will include Alisa Jenny, Shabir Somani and Gillian Levine. The announcement was made in conjunction with the 2012 Clinton Global Initiative Annual Meeting in New York City.
